Remembering…

Step by step.

My heart beats.

Glancing at the crowds.

Seeing and hearing the commotion.

I remember…

I remember the joy of gathering.

I remember the warmth of embracing.

I remember the gentle kisses of a soft breeze.

I remember the smell of fresh coffee being served.

Crossing the corner,

Walking into the intersection, I look up.

There, before me, a friend!

Adventure!

I remember…

I remember the stories we shared.

I remember the love we have for each other.

I remember when we first met.

I remember my gratitude for a faithful companion.

I remember…

This is what I remember; I love life.

This is what I remember; life loves me.

This is what I remember; life is sacred.

This is what I remember; ‘we’ is sacred.

This what I remember; ‘I’ is sacred.

There.

In the midst of it all.

God.

I remember…
